Ranch Events welcomed the guests to the tastes, traditions, and fun of an East Coast Style Clambake right here in sunny Southern California. The goal was to provide the guests with the best clambake on the west coast and Ranch Events was successful. As New Englanders would say, the event was “wicked good”. Besides the tasty menu, the day was perfect with a view of Mission Bay, a light breeze and of course the sun.
If you are looking for a different idea to serve delicious seafood during the summer, a clambake is a great choice. This is the most fun you can have with your seafood. A little bit of New England style food and preparation and a lot of the laid back attitude that a San Diego venue can offer.
A clambake is pretty much exactly what it sounds like—a variety of different ingredients baked together, but with clams carrying the primary flavor. Clambake is typically layered into a pot and boiled, and you can add different ingredients as you see fit. Ranch Events did exactly that by preparing most of the Event food at Mission Bay. Party guest could see the big pots of boiling water and the shell fish. The mouth-watering menu consisted of mussels, clams, crab, shrimp, corn-on-the-cob, sausage, potatoes, chowder, coleslaw, dinner rolls to mop up all of the yummy juices and individual fruit pies.
Realizing that most Southern Californians have never had the opportunity to partake of this wonderful east coast tradition, Ranch Events decided to include clambakes on their list of event options. Ranch Events’ fresh foods are all accompanied by homemade soups and dressings. Likewise, our desserts are prepared by our in house bakers, freshly made the day of an event.
