Catered for US NAVY Friends and Family Day onboard USS CARL VINSON CVN70. This event had MANY Logistical challenges.
Imagine trying to prepare food for over 4,600 sailors and their friends and families, getting access to the Naval Base, getting access to the Pier where the Ship is, getting all the food and equipment craned onto the Ship, using the Ship’s galley to cook the food and bringing up all the food to the Hanger Bay, then feeding all those people for over 8 hours at sea….
Ranch Events team was outstanding. I have to give them credit, watching them work was very impressive. What seemed to be a cluster, was a very organized and procient operation at work. Most of all, I appreciated their patience…. patience in getting all of their stuff onboard and getting it all off, which took several days.

As an event planner for the last 10 years, I have worked with A LOT of different caterers. Ranch Catering has proven themselves to be extremely professional as well as economical, which is why I will continue to refer my clients to them at every opportunity. I just finished a fabulous wedding at the Coronado Community Center and didn’t want to wait another minute to write a well-deserved review. Our catering manager, Ramon, was wonderful, answering every question via phone and email promptly. And on the day of the event, we had an absolutely stellar staff that I will be sure to request for future events: Giovanni was my fabulous Banquet Captain who tended to our every need and request with a smile. Our bartender, Rick, managed a full hosted bar and was very patient and competent. Our other servers Herbert, Antonio, Sunny and Jake were so sweet….it was like they lived their whole lives to serve us at that very moment! And who doesn’t want service like that at every event? The food was superb, fresh and absolutely delicious. The guests raved! After the dinner was over, I even witnessed one of the young children approach Giovanni and ask if he could please have some more chicken strips. With absolute pleasure, Gio asked which sauce he preferred, then plated up some hot chicken strips and serve them to that sweet boy, who was grinning from ear to ear. It’s the little things that truly make a difference! Bravo, Ranch Events! Until Next Time…
