Posted on July 12, 2016

With Father’s Day just behind us and it being the season of summer weddings, Ranch Events would like to share some unique ideas on how to celebrate dads on the “big day”, a son’s or daughter’s wedding.   Many dads are one of the most significant role models most children will have in their life, and a wedding is an important day for fathers. Here are some suggestions to make your dad feel special:

Wedding Day1

Thank your dad before you walk down the aisle. For a father, walking his daughter down the aisle can be both the scariest and happiest moments of his life. Before you make your big appearance, thank him and make sure he knows how important he is to you. If you have time in the morning, you can even do a “first look”. For the sons a conversation just between you and your father thanking him for molding you, guiding you and making you the man you are today. A hand-written letter explaining how much he means to you is also a wonderful way in showing dads what an important role he has played throughout your life. read more

Tips from Ranch Events for your 4th of July

July 4th - 1

For those of you who are wondering what to plan on July 4th, Ranch Events has the answer!! One of the best things to do on the Fourth of July is to plan a BBQ. Nothing says summer holidays as a good old-fashioned BBQ and here are some tips for hosting a great 4th of July BBQ.

Tip one:

When it comes to food for a Fourth of July BBQ all you need to do is keep it simple and provide foods that are normally served at BBQ’s. Don’t worry about BBQing something that everybody is going to eat because most people will eat your classic BBQ foods, even kids. For meats, you should choose something simple like hamburgers, hot dogs, and ribs. For side dishes, you can have potato salad, macaroni salad or any other type of pasta salad that you enjoy on warm summer days. You should also include a green salad choice and corn on the cob (off the grill of course) to round out your major food groups. When planning the food menu for your BBQ do not forget to include a chocolate dessert and plenty of beverages for your guests to drink. read more
