1.Throw your future spouse off his or her game by planning a unique getaway
Organize a travel surprise. Pack for 2 and tell her you’re hitting the road for a spontaneous get-away. Arrange a romantic hotel with a special welcome, champagne, and music.
2.Don’t wait until Valentine’s night to pop the question.
Be spontaneous and pop the question a day before Valentine’s Day. By doing this, you can have the entire Valentine’s Day together, enjoy each other’s company, and take in every moment that will mark the beginning of your love story.
3.Make an appointment with the jeweler where you intend to purchase the engagement ring and take your future fiancée to lunch and shopping.
Pretend you are going window shopping and casually walk into the jewelry store and have her choice her favorite ring.
4.Go on a Walk/Drive/Sail
If you have an adventurous or nature loving lady, suggest a walk along a nature path (something that wouldn’t seem out of the ordinary for the two of you). Lead her to some place unique along the trail and propose.
You can really go ham with this. A classic version is the Tiffany box with the ring sitting on top, but other people have incorporated other quirky elements into the final product.
6.Recreating a First Date or Special Moment
Sometimes it does not matter how you propose, but where. Propose to her in the place where you had your first kiss, where you first met, your first date location or something special to you two. She will love the sentiment and will be impressed that you remembered that special spot of yours.
7.Tell your significant other that you’ve made plans with a large group of people
This ploy is even better if the large groups of people you say you are going to meet are not his or her favorite people. You can make a private reservation someplace very special for just the two of you.
