People are become increasingly aware of how annoying their cell phone addictions can be. So many couples planning a wedding are considering having it “unplugged”. Exuberant guests and their electronic devices are ever-present at weddings and ringtone interruptions during the ceremony can be distracting and disruptive. Professional photographers are now saying guests have ruined some of their photos with cell phone camera flashes and by jumping into frames to take pictures. Brides and grooms who want their guests to fully participate in their big day have recognized it is very difficult to eliminate electronic devices entirely, so many nuptial couples have decided to have the Officiant ask the guests, before the wedding ceremony begins, to “power down” just for the duration of the ceremony.
