This time of year also marks the start of many schools; baseball ends with the World Series and football plus tailgating begin. Oktoberfest celebrations are teeming, and pumpkin carving is a top priority signifying Halloween is close at hand. Planning to host a fall dinner party, this is the perfect season to use seasonal foods in the menu. A few fall veggies are carrots, pumpkin, sweet potato, lettuce and Shiitake mushrooms.
